Ganduje Expresses Confidence in Supreme Court Victory After Appeal Court Ruling
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has expressed unwavering confidence that the party will prevail in the Supreme Court, despite the recent Appeal Court ruling that upheld the nullification of Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf’s election.
Addressing journalists at his Abuja residence, Ganduje commended the judiciary for upholding democracy and ensuring a fair administration of justice. He emphasized that the Appeal Court’s decision was a resounding victory for the APC and the people of Kano State.
“This judgment is a clear indication that democracy has come to stay in Nigeria,” Ganduje affirmed. “We are confident that the Supreme Court will uphold this decision and affirm Nasiru Gawuna as the rightful governor of Kano State.”
While acknowledging that the NNPP may choose to appeal to the Supreme Court, Ganduje reiterated the APC’s readiness to meet them there. “We are prepared to defend our victory at the highest court,” he declared.
Ganduje’s unwavering optimism reflects the party’s strong belief in the strength of its case and the fairness of the Nigerian judicial system. The Supreme Court’s decision is eagerly awaited, as it will have a profound impact on the political landscape of Kano State.
