Media Games: Yobe HoS donates table tennis, kits to NUJ

Alhaji Garba Bilal, the Head of Service Yobe State government has donated table tennis and kits to Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) as part of his personal contribution to the Media Games organised by the union.

Bilal made the donation while receiving officials of the NUJ and the committee members under the leadership of Comrade Rajab Isma’il Muhammed on Wednesday in Damaturu.

“As part of your preparation of the 2023 NUJ Media Games, am going to donate a brand new table tennis and kits for the development of sporting activities in the state,” Bilal said.

In a related development, the Director Yobe State Sports Council, Dr Habu AbdulRahman Ago, who also received the NUJ officials and members of Media Games committee in his office, pledged the council’s support to the Media Games.

He said the council would donate some sports kits within the council’s disposal to ensure a successful sporting activities.

The NUJ Yobe State Council organises Media Games for unity and corporation among different entities and also to mark full return of peace in the state.

In a similar visit the team were also at the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Empowerment to inform the Commission on the forthcoming event.

Earlier in his brief remarks the NUJ chairman Comrade Rajab Mohammed said they were at his office to inform him of Media Games scheduled for Saturday 29th of this month.

In his response Alhaji Abdullahi Bego, the Senior Special Assistant to Yobe Governor on Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Employment Generation also plaged his full support to the event.
