Residents of Machina, a local government in Yobe are singing Governor Mai Mala Buni’s praises for bringing life-changing development to their community.

The residents made the commendation in separate interviews with our Correspondent in Machina on Wednesday

They said the construction of a sesame cleaning and packaging factory and a solar-powered water system had not only boosted the local economy but also improved the quality of life for many.

A sesame farmer, Malam Dauda Abubakar shared how the factory had made their activities much easier and boosted their productivity.

He expressed gratitude to the Governor, acknowledging the long-held dream of such a facility which finally came true.

“This is because there are many farmers who produce sesame in large quantity in this local government,” he emphasized.

The impact is undeniable. Mamman Abubakar, another resident, exclaimed, “Before the factory, we only heard of such development in states like Kano and Lagos. Now it’s here with us!”

He added that Machina has become a “bustling business center,” with “about 50 to 60 trucks load of the product purchased every day.”

Jennifer Peter, a sesame buyer who traveled from Kaduna, was impressed by the quality of the processed product. “I appreciate it,” she remarked.

Malam Aminu Fari, another resident said the benefits extend beyond agriculture.

He expressed his deep appreciation for the solar-powered water system, stating, “For decades, Machina people haven’t seen a drop of clean water. This administration has made a groundbreaking record!”

He commended Damuli Investment Company Limited for their timely completion and quality work.

Alhaji Liman Dabuwa, the MD of Damuli, shared his success for the projects, attributing it to his roots in the state and his support for Governor Buni’s vision.

Governor Buni’s investment in Machina has demonstrably spurred economic growth and improved living standards. The sesame factory and solar-powered water system stand as testaments to his commitment to development, leaving a long-lasting impact on the community
