Gov. Buni Pledges to Prioritize Security, Well-being of NYSC Corps Members

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing the security and welfare of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in the state.

Buni made these assurances during the swearing-in ceremony for Batch A Stream II corps members held on Tuesday in Potiskum.

Represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Alhaji Barma Shettima, Governor Buni urged the corps members to see their deployment to Yobe as a chance to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s development.

Buni extended his congratulations to the corps members on their successful graduation from their respective universities and colleges.

He also recognized the NYSC’s vital role in fostering unity amongst Nigeria’s young people from diverse backgrounds.

Hajiya Salamatu Muhammad, the State Coordinator for NYSC, commended the corps members for their academic achievements and emphasized the importance of the orientation program in shaping their service year.

She revealed that no fewer than 1,545 corps members took the oath of allegiance, administered by Justice Adamu Jagere of the Yobe State High Court.

The coordinator urged the corps members to be law-abiding citizens throughout their service year.
