Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni has awarded scholarship to law students who has successfully completed their degree programme and preparing to pursue their professional certificate at the Nigeria Law School.

According to the governor, the gesture is a demonstration of how his administration places a high premium on quality education from the basic, tertiary, and professional courses such as Law, Accountancy, and Medical sciences among others.

“This explains why our government has been consistent in providing conducive environments in our schools through reconstructing destroyed and dilapidated schools, and establishing new ones,’

“We have also been providing instructional materials and all the necessary teaching and learning equipment to our tertiary and health institutions,” the governor stated

He pointed out that the consistency of this administration in upscaling the education sector has been quite fulfilling and fruitful as reflected in the performance of our students generally.

“Yobe State has sustained a top spot with an unbeaten record in the Northeast sub-region, and among the states in Nigeria, providing such opportunities to our students to pursue professional certificates with ease,” Buni said.

He reassured that his administration would continue to be consistent in awarding scholarships to qualified Yobe indigenes in tertiary institutions both at home and in foreign institutions across the World.

He started that awarding scholarships to Yobe law students to attend the Nigerian Law School is in continuation of support his administration continued to render to law students to obtain their professional certificates.

“This is in line with our comprehensive and holistic approach to the development of education as a driver of human capital development,” the governor stated.

He therefore urged the beneficiaries ti pursue their professional course with a great sense of commitment and responsibility to justify government investments in them, and to make the state proud.

He equally enjoined them to strive to be good Ambassadors of the state, and remain reference points of academic and moral excellence.

He also assured them that government shall keenly monitor their activities in the course of their study and provide them with the necessary support for them to succeed.
