Police Bust Kidnap Gangs, Recover Weapons in Taraba

In a significant blow to criminal activity, the Taraba State Police Command apprehended twenty-eight suspects for various offenses, including kidnapping, armed robbery, and homicide.

Commissioner of Police David Iloyanomon credited the success to cooperation between security forces and the public. Highlighting key arrests, he mentioned the capture of Abdulkarim Ibrahim, a notorious kidnapper in the Sardauna local government area.

Security operations also yielded a significant number of firearms, including AK-47 rifles, pistols, and ammunition.

Further demonstrating their commitment to safety, the Commissioner announced progress in solving a local monarch’s murder in the Gassol local government council.

Additionally, the arrest of individuals impersonating police officers online underscores the focus on combating cybercrime.

In a separate operation, the Nigerian Army, collaborating with hunters and other security agencies, neutralized a suspected terrorist, Gambo Kachalla, who had been terrorizing communities in Karim Lamido Local Government Area.

This success demonstrates the military’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security in Taraba State.
