Gov Buni expands entrepreneurship support

Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni has launched a second phase of empowerment support programme to support small and medium scale enterprises in the state

Items distributed includes complete GSM and Handset Repair sets and laptops, fish production kits and kits for, poultry production, small-scale rice milling, personal beauty and hygiene materials, among others.

The target beneficiaries are the Mobile Phones and Allied Products Traders and other youth across the State.

Speaking during the occasion, the governor said the programme is meant to further demonstrate the commitment of his administration to improve the lives of the people through economic empowerment and wealth stability,” Buni said

“In addition, our administration being not oblivious of the role of small and medium-scale enterprises in the economic development of any nation, created the Ministry of Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Employment Generation and use it and other relevant governmental organizations in reaching out to people through providing incentives for increased business activities and stability

“Our commitment to poverty alleviation, job and wealth creation to speed up our recovery process and uplift the lives of our people, remain sacrosanct and unshakeable.” the governor stated.

He therefore. enjoined beneficiaries of the empowerment programmes to ensure judicious use of the packages for self-improvement as doing so would encouraged the government to reach out to more people in other to collectively fight poverty.
