Yobe tailors‘ association appoints caretaker committee

Yobe State Tailoring Association of Nigeria has appointed caretaker committee and vested with responsibility to organise election within six months.

The Chairman of the committee, Malam AbdulRahman AbdulHadi stated this while addressing newsmen shortly after swearing in along other committee members on Monday in Damaturu.

AbdulHadi pledged to provide exemplary leadership by correcting some of the mistakes committed by the previous administration.

He said one of his priority was to ensure that the association had a permanent head office in the state.

The chairman also pledged to protect the interest and image of the members of the association across the state.
He added that his administration would reconcile and reunite all the aggrieved members across the 17 local government areas of Yobe.

AbdulHadi, however, advised members to be committed and trustworthy, fulfilling promises of their customers.

Other appointed members of the committee include Ishaku Adamu Secretary, Sani Yusuf Public Relation Officer, Malam Ali Muhammed Coordinator Zone A among others.

Also speaking, Alhaji Sani Yakubu, Coordinator Zone C said one of the agendas of the new administration is to embark on taking the census of members across the state.

Our correspondent reports that the association announced the dissolution of its executive members under the caretaker chairmanship of Ahmad Maikwano on May 13,2023.

The dissolution, according to Ishaku Adamu, the Secretary of the association was as a result of lopsided leadership, misappropriation of resources and expiration of tenure.
