By-election: Yobe East Constituents Demand APC Candidate to Prioritize Women, Youth Empowerment

In anticipation of the upcoming by-election, the residents of Bursari and Tarmuwa local government areas in Yobe East Senatorial Districts have urged the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Alhaji Musa Mustapha, to prioritise empowerment initiatives for women and youths.

Alhaji Lawan Bukar Guba, the Local Government Chairman, Bursari made the call During the APC by-election Zonal Campaign held in Dapchi on Thursday.

The Chairman, emphasised the importance of job creation, skill acquisition programmes, and various forms of empowerment for the youth and women of the district.

In addition, Guba urged the aspiring senator to develop comprehensive plans aimed at supporting farmers and traders within the constituency.

Aji Yarima Bularafa, the APC Campaign Coordinator for the by-election, brimmed with confidence as he addressed the gathering said that the people of Zone ‘A’ would not let the party down in the forthcoming by-election.

“The energy I see here today tells me one thing: the people of this Zone are ready to make history on February 3th,” he said.

Therefore he urged them to come out en mass and cast their votes for a landslide victory against other opposition parties.

In his remarks, Alhaji Musa Mustapha, the APC flag bearer for the election thanked the people of the zone for the just concluded primary election through which he emerged the flag bearer of the party.

Mustapha expressed commitment to serving his constituents and the entire people of Yobe State if elected.
