By-election: APC Candidate Charts New Course for Yobe East

The last day of The All Progressives Congress (APC) Yobe East Senatorial campaign tour of the Seven LGAs of Yobe East Senatorial district, making notable stops in Geidam and Yunusari Local Government areas of the state on Saturday.

During the campaign in these Local Government Areas, Honourable Musa Mustapha, the APC Senatorial Candidate, assured the constituents of enhanced dividends of democracy if elected.

Electorates from all nooks and cronies of the two local areas of Geidam and Yunusari, assembled to warmly receive Alhaji Musa Mustapha, the candidate vying for the Yobe East Senatorial seat.

Local government politicians expressed their unwavering support and promised an overwhelming number of votes.

Furthermore, they urged the candidate to prioritize youths empowerment, employment and implementation of developmental projects in the area upon his election.

The Chairmen of the two local government areas, emphasised the importance of job creation, skill acquisition programmes, and various forms of empowerment for the youth and women of the district.

Our correspondent reports that Musa Mustapha, the father-in-law of the Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, has been declared the winner of the APC primary for the Yobe East Senatorial by-election scheduled for February 3, 2024.

Mustapha is running to replace Senator Gaidam, who represented the Yobe East Senatorial District before his appointment as the Minister of Police Affairs by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
